Alix Crutcher
Alix has always loved being creative. She excelled in art in high school and wanted to continue this into college. However, her father wouldn’t pay for college if she majored in anything to do with art! she majored in Spanish (can’t speak a word of it) and wasn’t able to pursue her passion of being creative until 2018 when she moved to Kentucky and started her own interior design business. Her dad says he should have listened to her all those years ago!
Alix started her career in retail for an organizational company and continued to move up the ranks ultimately being a district manager for Anthropologie, L’Occitane and Lucky Brand. The main focus was managing the teams and processes across multiple stores and states (even another country), recruiting, training and development, managing P and l, and clienteling. It sounds dry, but it takes a lot of creativity to be on call 24/7 and make hundreds of people happy and successful at the same time!
Color defines Alix’s professional style. She loves bold colors, mixing color and patterns in unexpected ways, and not being safe. She can be safe when she need to be, but bringing out the client’s personality in their own home is one of her favorite things to do!
What motivates her work are the clients! she loves meeting new people and catching up with people she hasn’t seen for a while. Listening and learning about who they are and where they are in their life and then finding solutions to help them in their home is super motivating. An “I love it” from a client is the best feeling in the world!
Her favorite way to spend a weekend is by a bonfire with a glass of wine, a blanket, and friends.
